kawasaki and suzuki did this with dirtbikes and atv's, at a lesser degree. They just changed the color of the plastic and name delete on side covers. Shared various models to each other, certainly would be cheaper to share then new tooling to build the same model. My daughters 2005 kawasaki klx125L dirtbike has a suzuki motor corp. sticker right on the frame head of it!
That part of using the cat chassis (which is more technology then the nitro by far) and then using the yamaha engine is ok with me, I dont see that being the end of yamaha at all. Just be curious to see if the quality will still hold up, I KNOW the engine is good but chassis durability, we shall see. Although, cats had about 3yrs of refining on it.
I just cant get over the prices of these new snowmobiles, wow, $15,000 for a 600+lb 130hp trail sled, not even the top of the line! The top of the line 2014 machine is gonna be close to $20,000 now!!!
