1st Sled Purchase Nightmare Gets Worse!!!! Please Read!!!!

Im on the phone with him... he says he knows nothing about the JB Weld.

said it must have been that way from the last seller.....

He did say he is going to help out, I asked for half the cost of the parts...

He has offered me $200 and I accepted!!!
 
just means my sled is worth that much more to me!!!!

I am trying to sell a couple more things and hopeing to get it back together while there is still snow on the ground!!!! If he would have given me 3-400 I could have ordered the parts Friday........
 
You should have told him that the rebuild was going to cost you $1500 and you feel that he should atleast pay half!!! you got stung why shouldn't he??
How many miles did you put on it before it let go??
 
From the information you posted in your other thread and the extent of the damage, it would seem you were sold a live grenade. With the a/m pistons, then the OEM pistons, this thing blew up at least twice before. Seems like you bought it just after the "latest rebuild" which was just enough to get the engine to run....briefly. For $200, your 'seller' just got off easy.

Your 'seller' simply passed-on his aquired nightmare for you to deal with, and he knows it! :o| :o| :o|
 
I'll echo what other's have already said, he knew it was junk when he sold it and you are letting him off way too easy with only having to cough up 200 smackers. For that price he should still get his name posted on neon billboard. The 200 is just keeping him alive...

i will say it was fun riding with you until it blew. I am also happy these yamaha guys are so helpful. Thanks for helping him out guys. I pressured him into buying a sled not this sled. and its been an adventure to say the least. Hopefully with all the help he is receiving he will be up and running soon. I just wanted to thank everyone for being so helpful. I dont think they would be as nice to me on the yellow sled forums. Keep up the good work and maybe my next ride will be blue. You guys are definitely a cut above and from one rider to many others thank you for helping to return some enthusiasm about snowmobiling to my best friend. i may ride yellow but i would ride with any of you.

There have only been a couple of '98 XT's listed for sale here recently.....but look the same as the pic you posted?...and had an engine rebuild?....and in your state...?

Most of the guys that help out around here know that it's no fun to have a broke sled and have to sit on the sidelines. Now on other groups you have your jokers(substituted for cleaner language) that say "sucks to be you -BUT- my sled still runs!! and offer NO help or condolences. WE ALL have to admit WE ALL ARE A CUT ABOVE ON THIS SITE!! <--And it all starts with the owner of the site... Just my $.02 Tracy
 
if he were really earnest in his offer to help, he'd also post to this thread, identify himself and explain this horrible situation.... we're all still waiting to hear from him.. I'm always open to an explanation.... tj

I doubt he would post, nobody would want this black of a spot on themselves, everyone makes up there mind and stick to it, it would take a lot to change the minds of everyone that has seen this thread...

about 125... for $100 per mile a rental would have been cheaper!!!

I told him about the thread I dont want to lie to someone else even if it is him even if he does deserve it, it would get me nowhere.....he wasn't interested in being part, a little something inside me says he might not have know about the JB Weld..... but how is that possible?!?!?!

the plot thickens!!!! no money..then it is time to expose the guy..for the sake of others on here.If you got stung,he will do it to someone else in the blink of an eye.Eventually someone on here will figure it out who it is.....
 
I agree. Im also board to death and cant seem to go any further back then nov of 09 in the unit classified section. And yes i changed it to the beginning, and last yr with no change????? Like in my want add i painted the kitchen today im so board!
