100 miles?
That must have been painful. By the time mine was banging around I only had about 5 miles to go but about 100 from the time I bent it.
Question: Can I wrestle the axle out without pulling the skid? I dont think so, But I'm sleep deprived and just moved a ton of snow. lol
I'm working in tight quarters too. Cant even roll the sled up on it's side due to all the cottage crap in my shop. Atleast it's heated.
Some trails are still closed and some new detours via roads. We got turned around a few times.

Theyre scrambling with the new snow, so trail reports are a guess at best I find.

I had to pull the skid out to replace the axle. It's a good time to go over all the bushings and bearings, etc.

Yep, I know, but I just did all the bearings.
I'll give it a go, but I'm guessing I'll get frustrated and pull the skid just to get it out of the way.
I think a wee nap is in order first. Coffee isnt doing it.

Not sure where you are looking.
last night when I got home, it was grey from elora to bluewater all the way up to lions head. just a big grey patch, and has since been switched.

Not sure what you were seeing as grey unless it was the background. lol
The trails further up the peninsula are rough and some single lane. Miserable ride most times. But they are still closed.
The B110 trail that is showing open from Shelburne going north is an old railway bed. You can run 80mph all the way up to Wiarton, but it's like watching paint dry.

Why do u even have a sled? If u dont have a trailer and nothin to tow with. There is no use owning one in if u live in Toronto. The trails never open there.
I'm tired of people complaining.... I don't mean this in a bashing way at all, Just my opinion.

I live 45 minutes north of the city in the Snow Belt (Aurora). My sled is 2 hours farther northwest than where I live with trails closed or limited (Durham). It's in the middle of a network of trials which is the largest in the world. Over 12,000 KMS. That network is mostly closed currently. I have a right to complain
Read the entire thread before you post. Thanks Pal.

you should go now while there is still good snow! next week looks pretty bad. my brother went up today and said the trails were awesome! he started in durham which he said was a little rough, but once he got into owen sound area....he said they were great. you really should go man before the next thaw. all ya gotta do is drive to your sled and go for a rip! I would....you might regret it if ya don't.

right now there is over 16,000km of trail that is open! just because it is red, doesn't mean they aren't open. my buddy was in bracebridge yesterday and today and was riding on open trails that haven't been updated on OFSC yet.
